On June 5, 2024, the Swiss Air Force took off and landed its F/A-18 fighter jets on the A1 highway near Payerne. The test was intended to strengthen the army’s defense capabilities through so-called decentralization. It was a military test and not a public event. The training area was extensively cordoned off, and road traffic was diverted.

Statement from the LW: The Purivox system was also successfully deployed during the decentralization exercise „Alpha Uno“ last year and contributed significantly to the exercise’s success (not a single wildlife incident!).
