Bremen Airport has been using the Purivox DA-RC and TA-RC System as part of its bird control strategy to ensure the safety of flight operations. The systems are primarily deployed in the area next to the runway, where bird activity poses a significant risk to aircraft during takeoff and landing.
The DA-RC System, with its dynamic acoustic deterrent capabilities, has proven highly effective in reducing the presence of problematic bird species such as seagulls, cranes, pigeons, and crows. The remote-controlled functionality allows for flexible and targeted operation, enabling quick response to bird sightings in critical areas.
Additionally, the TA-RC System has complemented the DA-RC System by providing mobile sound coverage and enhancing the deterrent effect across a wider area.
Results:
Since implementation, airport personnel have observed a noticeable decrease in bird activity in the protected zones. The systems are reliable, easy to operate, and offer a humane and environmentally friendly solution to wildlife hazards at the airport.
